Whether you are an entrepreneur, athlete, coach, artist or politician, we must overcome obstacles and setbacks at some point in our lives. These challenges seem insurmountable, but the difference between successful people, or at least those who will succeed, is their stamina and confidence, not their talent. Some people call it sand. However, it is often referred to as mental resilience.
In recent years, I realized that talent is overestimated, it is mentally strong people who are successful in life. I had to work hard to overcome a business that lost millions of dollars and start another business that is now booming.
Sometimes you have to keep going. I understand that there is no single factor, but people who have the following habits are mentally strong and can overcome anything.
Having 4C's
Confidence, you believe in yourself and your abilities, so that you can succeed.
Challenge, you embrace change or new opportunity instead of resisting.
Control where you think you have the ability to shape your own destiny.
Commitment, you set goals and strive to achieve them.
They are emotional intelligence
Emotional intelligence, that is, the ability to recognize and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others, is another cornerstone of mental resilience. If you are not sure if you have EI, or if you want to work hard to strengthen it, pay attention to the following qualities:
- Not a perfectionist.
- Work-life balance.
- is not easily distracted.
- Empathetic.
- Know their strengths and weaknesses.
- Motivated.
- A hard limit is set.
This is difficult for me to learn. When I started my online billing business, I thought I had to control everything. I micromanage the employees and supervise everything, everything must be perfect. It wasn’t until I let go and learned to improve the quality of others that our business began to grow exponentially.
Unqualified
Should We All Be Happy or Successful? Absolutely. However, this does not mean that it is easy. Mental strong people realize that they will not just be champions or successful companies. They must obtain it through sacrifice, hard work, and patience.
Shelving rights means that when you face emergencies, you are better prepared to solve the problem head-on.
Flexibility
Strong mental people can find new ways and different solutions to problems. Consider an NFL team’s offensive stalemate in the first half of the game. They must adjust their game plan to start scoring on the board. If not, and they are stubborn, they can expect the same results for the rest of the game.
In the business world, Nokia is famous for its many transformations to remain relevant. They have gone from paper mills to inflatable boats to tech giants.
They Learn From The Past, But They Don’t Worry About It.
Cruel people see the value of the past. However, they will not stop at it. Thinking about your past is like training. Learn from your past (or how other people started a business or made money) so you don’t make the same mistakes in the future. After that, keep going.
Stable.
Calm, calm, and composure help people deal with challenging situations. If you are the type of person who gets nervous or stressed easily, please take the time. With age, emotional stability tends to increase.
Don’t complain, don’t complain or criticize.
Although it is normal for us to vent from time to time, constant complaints, complaints, and criticism of others make us feel worse.
Rather than wasting time on all these negative emotions, mentally strong people focus on making things better.
They have a sense of urgency.
Mental strong people “keep involved, live, and stay connected under pressure,” wrote Christine M. Riordan, dean and professor of management at the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver. “They are constantly discovering opportunities, challenges and threats in the environment.”
However, don’t wait to take advantage of these opportunities. Instead, “They have a sense of urgency to deal with the changing business landscape.”
They are consistent.
“It’s great to talk about mental toughness, courage and perseverance … But what are these things like in the real world?” Asked author, entrepreneur and photographer James Clear.
“In short, tenacity and perseverance equate to consistency.”
Athletes are consistent in not being absent from exercise. Spiritually strong leaders are consistent because they set goals and build teams around them. Cruel artists, writers, and employees constantly set a schedule, like doing the most important things first, rather than shirking their responsibilities.
They are grateful and appreciative.
Instead of worrying about what they don’t have, mentally strong people are grateful and grateful for what they do. For example, if your business fails, they will accept and appreciate the lessons they have learned and will thank your people.
