OnePlus Nord is a new budget offering from OnePlus, which is able to bring the same Android experience as the OnePlus 8, but at a more affordable price. OnePlus retains all the basics like AMOLED display, Warp’s fast charging, and a large battery at Nord. However, it does cut a bit when it comes to SoC and construction quality. The OnePlus Nord still has glass in the back, but instead of a metal frame, plastic.
The SoC used is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, not the 800-series chip as we often see it. However, Nord supports 5G, which is a cool bonus. As a whole package, it’s really hard to find fault with the OnePlus Nord. The app performance and playback are great, it takes great photos and videos during the day, and the display supports HDR10 +.
Lighter image quality suffers less, but that’s the only major weakness of this phone. Battery life is very good and one speaker gets an audible sound. One amazing feature of One Plus Nord is its ability to shoot selfie videos at 4K 60fps, which even OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro can do.
